We “donut” need an excuse to enjoy this sweet treat! You can, however, turn this mini dessert into a creative Valentine’s treat for your loved one's. We will share how to glaze a bright pink donut, ideas on how to present your donut and even a free printable! Have a look at some of the most creative ways to enjoy a donut for Valentine’s Day 2020.   You could host a playdate for your little ones with their friends and decorate donuts to celebrate valentines. 

PINK IT UP

Glaze is easier to use than frosting, so if you want to turn your donut glaze into a bright pink or red, this is how. Simply buy ready-to-eat donuts without any glaze and get creative with colours and sprinkles.

DONUT GLAZE INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup powdered sugar

• 2 tbsp water

• 1-2 drops of food coloring of your choice

• colourful sprinkles

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Whisk together the powdered sugar, water, and food colouring in a bowl.

2. Adjust consistency of the glaze, by adding a small amount of sugar if it’s too watery or adding water if looks too thick.

3. Repeat in a couple different bowls to get various shades of colour.

4. Pour the glaze over the donuts, cookies, apples or cakes... Seriously, this would be amazing on almost anything.

5. Add sprinkles, candies, or jimmies while the glaze is still wet and allow the donuts to set before eating (if you can help yourself!).

DECORATION IDEAS

TIME TO PRESENT YOUR DONUT
